Salary: $71,000-$118,200

This position will be responsible for working in a team environment, geared toward the Research, Develop and Engineer technologies for software and weapon systems.

What will you be doing?

This position will be a key member of the Weapons and Software Engineering Center. Duties include:

Provide experience with mechanical engineering support for the development of individual weapon components

Support all aspects of design, prototype, testing and manufacturing

Ability to work hands-on and collaborate with machine shop for prototyping

Prepare designs using 3D CAD(Creo) modeling software

Document designs using the Armys design standards and GD&T

Write test plans and work closely with testing groups

Develop and present reports

Work with manufacturing teams to develop functional prototypes

Be able to support mature designs currently in production

This position requires travel up to 25%

What skills will the ideal candidate have to be successful?

This position will require the following skillsets and experience:

Must be able to obtain a clearance through the DoD security background investigation process

Pass drug and alcohol testing

Must have good mechanical skills and experience

Self-starter and able to work autonomously

Experience with engineering software, including Creo CAD

Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

High standard of quality and efficiency

Familiarity with firearms and ammunition and plus

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of weapons and firearms a plus

Must be a team player, able to multitask and prioritize accordingly

Fluent in (MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Must be a US Citizen

Must have a valid NJ drivers license and be able to obtain a government drivers license

Must have a minimum of a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline

Past or present military personal are encouraged to apply

3-8 years of experience with mechanical engineering or similar discipline
