CNC Lathe Operator

Job Description

We are hiring for a great position in Fenton, MO, as a CNC Operator. The ideal candidate will have experience in set-up, operating Haas, and be experienced in adjusting offsets.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Set up, layout, and operate various CNC lathes and/or mills

Reads blueprint or job order for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions such as fixtures, cutting speeds, depth of cut, and determines sequence of operations.

Selects, positions, and secures the tool in the tool holder.

Positions and secures work piece in holding device, machine table, chuck, centers, or fixtures.

Moves controls to position the tool and work piece in relation to each other, and to set specified feeds, speeds, and depth of cut.

Sets up fixture, starts machine.

Requires the ability to read precision measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers.

Observes the operation of the machine and verifies conformity of the machined workpiece to specifications.

Keeps work area clean and orderly

Follows all Company rules and safety policies.

Discusses errors in diagrams or production order with the supervisor or engineer to clarify assembly problems.

Requirements:

Performs any assembly-type functions, using hand or power tools.

Adjusts, trims, and fitting parts to close tolerances.

Follows visual aids (standard work) to ensure work is correct.

May perform testing of assembled product.

Make up cartons, print labels, insert protective packing material, and seal the finishing product.

Meet efficiency rates.

Perform quality checks to ensure quality specifications are met.

Work within all safety guidelines and wear all required PPE (steel-toe shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses).

Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor or team leader.

Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition - 5S.

Must be flexible to rotate job assignments within various work cells.

Performs related duties as assigned by supervision

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent

1+ yrs of previous CNC experience preferred

Pay rate: $26.50
