Volt is immediately hiring for a Junior Applications Engineer in Franklin, WI. You will work with engineering teams at North America's leading manufacturer and provider of the finest high precision machining centers with a focus on 5-axis machining centers.

As a Jr. Applications Engineer you will:

Provide customer applications training / support in house and at customer’s facilities. You will Travel to client sites to complete equipment trainings and programming exercises

Work with senior applications engineers to perform time studies, test cuts, and machine demonstrations as needed

Programing of multi-axis applications utilizing CAM-systems

Provide sales support at tradeshows and open house events

Work with senior applications engineers to develop leading machining processes

Work on showroom equipment as needed in order to maintain state of the art facility

Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested

This is a Full Time, Direct Hire opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

Technical school degree with skills in blueprint reading, machining, manufacturing, etc. or related machining field experience

2-4 years’ experience in machining and/or training

Background in a machine shop and experience running CNC machines

Knowledge in CNC machining and programming

Control knowledge of CNC controls, Heidenhain / Siemens preferred

Good written and spoken English skills

Teamwork and high level of performance

Extensive travel is required:

Ability to travel to train team at client sites, attend IMTS, and to attend trainings in Germany once a year!

Travel Perk: Company credit card, Daily per diem when traveling.

Salary: $25.00 – 28.00/hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
