Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Manager to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety policy and procedures across our organization. In this critical role, you will build a comprehensive HSE program that ensures a safe and productive work environment while promoting a strong safety culture at all levels of operations.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify hazards, conduct risk assessments, and create safety protocols that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will lead safety training programs, monitor compliance, and provide ongoing support to foster a proactive safety culture. Responsibilities:
Safety Leadership and Compliance:
Conduct comprehensive safety reviews of work areas and equipment, ensuring adherence to company, state, and federal regulations.
Lead the development and implementation of initiatives that cultivate a strong safety culture across manufacturing and field service operations.
Oversee the successful execution of the Company's HSE Management System and HSE programs.
Provide expert guidance and support to management and field personnel on all safety and environmental matters.
Conduct and document monthly, in-person safety meetings
Conduct and track authorized safety training programs for field service professionals.
Conduct regular field audits and inspections to identify and address potential safety hazards.
Investigate incidents, analyze data, and recommend improvements to safety protocols.
Prepare accident reports and ensure compliance with all safety policies and regulations.
Develop, enforce, and deliver training programs on safety policies to foster a culture of safety.
HSE Management and Implementation:
Oversee all aspects of the HSE plan, including customer safety management, data collection, risk assessments, worksite compliance, audits, and safety training.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with field staff and management regarding safety initiatives.
Lead initiatives that promote employee engagement in HSE compliance and best practices.
Deliver engaging safety presentations and provide guidance on HSE regulations.
Coach employees and supervisors on HSE expectations and accountability.
Compliance and Administration:
Analyze and implement safety regulations (OSHA, DOT, EPA, etc.) to ensure company-wide compliance.
Manage and ensure the availability of all necessary safety controls (PPE, fire extinguishers, etc.).
Oversee the accuracy and timeliness of all HSE reporting.
Conduct both internal and external HSE audits to maintain compliance standards.
Maintain employee training records and ensure all personnel are up to date on essential safety protocols.
Interact effectively with all levels of the organization to promote safety awareness and best practices.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in a safety leadership role in the oil & gas industry
Minimum 5 years of experience in a safety leadership role in the upstream oil & gas industry (preferably production, completion)
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to rig sites and other Hulk office locations
OSHA 30 – General Industry Certification
Incident Investigation Training –8hrs
Experience managing/maintaining ISNetworld and Veriforce
Strong analytical skills to assist in performing risk assessments based on various health, safety, and environmental needs across projects and job sites
Ability to read, interpret, and implement OSHA, DOT, EPA, and other relevant safety regulations and industry safety standards
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills across all levels of the organization
Ability to develop and deliver safety meeting materials, present inspection findings, and recommend corrective actions.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Bilingual in English & Spanish
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with DOT regulations
Facility build-out experience

Physical Demands: This job is a mostly sedentary role; however, moderate physical activity is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, reach, carry, pull, lift, or otherwise move objects up to 50 pounds. Employees are required to have specific vision abilities which include close and distant vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Employees are also required to talk and listen.
Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office/field/shop environment. The noise level is moderate and in a well-lit area. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. This position may encounter overnight travel.

Pay Details: $125,000.00 per year
