Location: Morton, IL (Hybrid – Onsite Tues-Thurs, Remote Mon & Fri)
Duration: 12 months (likely extension)
Pay Rate: $23/hr (W2), $27/hr (C2C)
Job Description:
The Logistics Analyst 2 will coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to production schedules. Responsibilities include reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules, and compiling reports on inventory levels and costs.
Key Responsibilities:
Examine documents, materials, and products to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
Review production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine resource needs.
Record production data, including output volume, raw material consumption, and quality control measures.
Maintain and requisition material inventories to meet production demands.
Dispatch delivery orders for inbound US ocean shipments to manufacturing facilities and distribution centers.
Work independently to ensure delivery orders are sent with all required details by 12:00 PM daily (may require afternoon dispatching as needed).
Utilize Excel and Microsoft Access for data management and reporting.
Qualifications (Required):
High school diploma or GED.
2+ years of experience with Excel, including formulas, formatting, and data manipulation.
Strong attention to detail—must follow standard work procedures with 100+ steps accurately.
Willingness to learn and grow within the team.
Qualifications (Desired):
Experience in international transportation (a plus).
Familiarity with Microsoft Access (used daily, though not at an advanced level).
Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
Typical Day & Work Environment:
Pull multiple Excel reports, run queries, and input/output data into Microsoft Access.
Configure templates and upload data into the Transportation Management System (TMS).
Ensure delivery orders are accurate and systematically sent to drayage providers.
Work in an open office environment with access to huddle rooms for focused work.
Disqualifiers:
Less than 2 years of experience using Excel.
