One of the top nuclear engineering firms in the United States is looking to add a Structural Design Engineer to their team!
Job Description:
Structural analysis (static or response spectra) seismic and other load combinations per plant criteria
Equipment and piping supports
Building structural frames
Foundations
Piping or Pipe support analysis per ASME Section III or B31.1 design
Lifting assembly, rigging or crane designs
AISC steel and ACI concrete design codes
Component stress analysis (GTSTRUDL or ANSYS)
Plant impact reviews and evaluations
Assessment of existing structures, development of retrofit type designs
Qualifications:
BS Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering from a US-credited college
Prior experience with: static structural analyses, structural dynamics, AISC, ACI classes, seismic analysis
Proficiency in MathCAD preferred
Strong communication skills
Experience with report writing, calculations, drawings, specifications
1+ years of experience working on design and analysis for Nuclear Power Plants, Industrial Facilities, or relevant project types within Steel and/or Concrete
Must have experience and knowledge working with Design Codes - AISC, ACI, ASCE
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
