Hoyle Tanner has an immediate opening for a Senior Project Engineer in our Ground Transportation Division. Senior Project Engineer – Highway
The right candidate will be a strong contributor on a team tasked with delivering state agency and municipal roadway, traffic, drainage and safety designs. Responsible for preparation of calculations, layouts, estimates and specifications under project managers. Lead and guide junior and staff engineers and CADD teammates.
As a Senior Project Engineer you will:
Hold the lead role in an integrated, multi-discipline team that solves technical project challenges of all types
Understand project budget, scope of services, project schedule and project development
Be a primary contributor or author of the development of technical and price proposals
Monitor and review spent hours and dollars versus percent complete in relation to project timelines and budget and provide recommendations to the Project Manager to stay on track
Understand the client’s organization and develop professional relationships with client peers
Manage engineering staff and prioritize technical tasks to meet changes in schedule or resource availability
Be proficient in technical writing, editing, and presentations
Identify areas of improvement and regularly shares best practices and/or improve processes
Develop person-hour estimates and budgets
Act as a technical lead and demonstrate a specialized skill in a subject matter or application
Potentially be the primary team member responsible for overall quality control of the project
Pursue a technical engineering or project management specialization as part of your career growth.Requirements:
Qualified Candidates:
BSCE Degree required, MSCE preferred
10+ Years of relevant experience
Current PE in NH, MA, ME, or VT
Experience with the multiple engineering programs
