We are a growing San Antonio immigration law firm with practices in criminal and family law as well. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team. The successful candidate will be fluent in both written and verbal English and Spanish. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to multitask. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively manage a combination of family based and removal immigration cases (non-detained and detained).

**Responsibilities**

- conducting both in-person and virtual meetings with clients to gather information,

- Prepare USCIS applications and packets, such as I-130's, I-485's, N-400's, U-Visa's & VAWA's with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail,

- Assist in preparing files for immigration court proceedings and applications for relief such as 42B's and I-589's

- providing updates on case progress to clients

- updating case status within the case management system

-Manage and maintain organized client files

- Providing translation services for clients and legal documents

- Submitting and reviewing Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests

- Assists Attorneys in preparing for hearings such as, preparing laptops, preparing client files and other materials for the hearing;

- Scanning and organizing supporting documents to ensure easy access and retrieval,

**Requirements**

-Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish

-Paralegal certificate / Associates Degree/ Bachelor Degree (preferred)

-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc)

-Strong organization skills and ability to multitask

**PRIOR EXPERIENCE IN DETAINEE REMOVAL CASES ( a huge plus but not required)**
