Role: IT Site Reliability Engineer

Job Type: Full-time, Exempt

Reports To: Director of IT Operations

Location: Nashville, TN

Description:

The Site Reliability Engineer role will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the reliability of our systems, with a focus on Azure environments and on-premise IT infrastructure. This individual will play a key role in planning and managing cloud migrations, troubleshooting complex issues, and implementing best practices for system performance and reliability. Essential Job Functions*:

Design, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.

Troubleshoot and support on-premise systems, ensuring seamless integration with cloud services.

Plan and execute cloud migration projects, minimizing downtime and ensuring data integrity.

Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively identify and resolve issues.

Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline operations and reduce manual intervention.

Respond to and resolve incidents, conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.

Contribute to the administration and development of multiple projects, tracking project deliverables using appropriate tools and reporting on progress.

Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure cohesive and reliable system architecture.

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.

Essential Job Skills:

· Proven experience in supporting and building out Azure environments, troubleshooting on-premise IT infrastructure, and managing cloud migrations.

· Extensive knowledge of Windows Server Environments

· Solid networking and system administration – Understanding of network switches, routers, and firewalls is required

· Microsoft Entra ID / Microsoft 365 Administration experience required

· Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

· Team player able to effectively interact cross-functionally with a variety of individuals with different competencies and backgrounds

· Self-propelled work ethic with ability to stay on task and focused with minimal supervision

· Willingness to work on a flexible work schedule, and travel as the job requires

· Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

· Strong attention to detail and organization

Minimum Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience

· 5+ years of Azure Engineering experience covering Azure services and infrastructure as a service

· Proficient with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Power Automate)
