Education required: Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Biotechnology or Life Science.

Other requirements: Demonstrated skill and knowledge with analytical methods, equipment, process, software, cleaning, and facility/utility validation strategies and policy, protocol and report writing and execution.

Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in English

Expected Start date: June 2025 onwards

The Career Conversion Programme (CCP) (Train-and-Place with Commitment to Hire) for Advanced Biopharmaceuticals Manufacturing Executives/Professionals is a talent development programme aimed at building the next generation of skilled manpower for Singapore’s Biopharmaceuticals manufacturing industry in anticipation of hiring demand.

The training programme consists of 15 months of local attachment with GSK. Due to the nature of the programme, we can only consider Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents. For more information, please visit Career Conversion Programmes (CCP) for Individuals

A certificate will be given to successful trainees upon completion of the programme.

What will you do?

To support Manufacturing Operations in the following areas:

Manage deviation investigations and CAPAs of high complexity and related to process or technical events.

Changes through site change control system and SAP data management (eg. BOM)

Non-process specific training

Key participant in the continuous process verification platform and be able to explain trends

Support Manufacturing Operations in tracking process parameters

Handle Quality and business-continuity risks

Gap analysis of QMS and Quality Alerts, as well as regulatory guidelines

Prepare documents and training materials as required to support the activities of the operations department

Identify, manage and execute improvement initiatives in the following areas:

Batch record improvement

Process improvement

Alarms management

Materials management

Operational Excellence (OE) initiatives

Support Manufacturing Operations in executing validation, trials, development and technical transfer activities where necessary.

Process optimization

Environmental monitoring

Routine production issues troubleshooting

Develop relationship within the value stream team to ensure delivery of production objectives.

Develop close relationship with other departments which supports production (QA, QC, Engineering, MSAT, SCM) to ensure delivery of production objectives

Plan, manage and execute deliverables through proper and timely request and utilization of resources to ensure delivery of projects.

Plan and coordinate effective utilization of ad-hoc team members (operational staff)

What will you learn?

Manufacturing Operations such as manage technical deviations and CAPAs, manage investigations and troubleshooting of process and equipment issues.

SOP or MBR revisions

Continuous improvements

Audit preparation and management

Environment, safety, health and wellness

What are we looking for?

Experience working in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) environment

Experience with safety hazards and safety assessments

Knowledge in cGMP and safety (biosafety)

Troubleshooting skills

Knowledge in Biotechnology process, Lean Six Sigma Tools and Project Management is an advantage

Effective Communication and team building skills

Organization skills and project management skills
