MEDICAL ASSISTANT - Part Time

Job Description

Toms River Partnership Health Center is seeking a part time Medical Assistant.

Schedule will be Friday 7am-6pm and every other weekend both Saturday and Sunday from 8am-1pm

This role will be responsible for performing clinical as well as administrative functions at the medical practice.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Educate patient regarding procedure to be performed

• Escort patient to exam room

• Take initial history and demographic information

• Record vital signs

• Venipunctures for lab draws

• Perform EKGs

• Ear irrigations

• Inform patients of lab results as needed

• Assist the provider as needed

• Schedule appointments

• Maintain lab equipment and supplies, preventative maintenance and inspection

• Maintain proper documentation of pertinent patient information

• Maintain medical and non-medical inventories

• Front desk responsibilities as well

• Maintain compliance with OSHA, state and federal regulations regarding lab procedures

• Additional duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 2-3 years of medical assistant experience

• High school diploma plus medical certification
