As the DEX you will have responsibility for all things Human Resources (HR), with a strong focus on employee engagement, supporting company goals, and driving the company culture and values. As a member of the company's leadership team, you will actively participate in developing, planning, and executing strategic company initiatives, and will be accountable for developing and executing the specific EX/HR goals and initiatives that support those company goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Determine, develop and execute on strategic HR initiatives and plans to help achieve company goals and objectives.
Provide guidance and coaching to managers and staff in all HR areas, including employee relations, professional development, performance, hiring, discipline, compensation, benefits, terminations, etc.
Ensure employee perspective is represented in company strategic and initiative planning.
Identify staffing, recruiting and retention needs and develop and execute the best practices for achieving them.
Develop, manage and maintain strong positive working relationships with all levels and individuals in the organization, as well as external vendors and contacts.
Design, implement and monitor compensation plans and structures.
Evaluate, make recommendations, and administer employee benefit plans.
Develop and manage the performance management program.
Ensure compliance with all relevant employment law and benefits administration requirements.
Lead and participate in the Employee Engagement and Fun Committees.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or related field.
8+ years of progressive human resources management required.
Prior experience leading and managing direct reports.
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regs, and HR best practices.
SPHR or SHRM SCP preferred.
Strategic thinker with ability to assess risk and exercise judgement concerning complex problems.
Excellent human relations, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong investigative, analytical, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and complete work in a timely manner.
Demonstrated sound judgement and decision making.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and confidential information.
