Job Description
T&M Associates is looking for a Staff Engineer with 3+ years of experience to join our Civil/Highways Team in the Transportation Department! This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a background in highway and traffic design to gain additional exposure with a growing company. In this role, you will be involved in delivering complex projects and assignments for county and agency clients throughout the state. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement based out of Middletown, Mt. Laurel, or Bloomfield, NJ, combining remote work with in-office collaboration.
Responsibilities:
Develop and review design plans for highways, roads, intersections, and other transportation-related projects
Perform engineering calculations for road design, pavement design, drainage systems, and traffic control devices
Prepare detailed drawings for various projects using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure are accurate and completed on time
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and interns as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required; Master’s degree is a plus.
3-5 years of experience in civil/highway projects within the transportation industry.
EIT (Engineer-in-Training) license required; PE license is a plus.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and OpenRoads required.
Experience with NJ Counties and NJDOT projects, including their design standards and requirements, is required.
Strong attention to detail and ability to develop accurate design calculations.
Excellent analytical, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.
