Line Service Techs Needed
Must possess a valid driver's license, submit to required drug & alcohol screening requirements, and submit to an airport security background check.
Line Service Duties and Responsibilities
Refuel and defuel all general aviation, charter, cargo, military and air carriers (commuter, narrow and wide body class) aircraft
Operation of fuel trucks (including driving and use of pumping equipment, hose reels and safety devices) and the loading of fuel from the fuel farm into the fuel trucks
Operation and maintenance of aviation ground service vehicles and fuel farm in accordance with all safety standards
Operation of all ground vehicle equipment, including, but not limited to: tugs, GPU, belt loader, air start, lavatory, tow bars, bag carts, deicing units, forklifts and others
Operation of deicing vehicles and application of Type I and Type IV deice and anti-icing fluids in accordance with our current procedures
Proficient in all facets of ground handling for corporate and private aircraft and commercial size carriers including, but not limited to baggage/cargo handling; lavatory/portable water service; and push back procedures
Responsible for additional duties such as facility and grounds maintenance, snow shoveling and some cleaning and supplies storage when necessary along with other miscellaneous duties
Responsible for his/her own personal safety and the safety and care of all assigned equipment
Qualifications for Line Service Technicians
Have essential physical and mental capabilities in the following: Interpersonal skills, memory, attention to detail, follow directions, reading, writing, speaking, evaluating, organizing and innovation
High school diploma or equivalent
Prior experience in aircraft fuel/ground handling operations and procedures is desirable
Valid driver's license
Must be available to work any shift, seven days a week, 52 weeks a year
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include, close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Starting Pay: $18.00-$20.00/hour, depending upon experience
