Position Summary:

Responsible for working in collaboration with the Vice President of Network Management to identify develop and oversee opportunities for development and growth throughout assigned networks and service lines. Coordinates or performs projects/activities as delegated by Vice President of Network Management. Responsible for growth, leadership and oversight, selecting, hiring and mentoring employees at various levels to achieve performance metrics. Is also responsible for planning, development and implementation of all activities for the assigned region including development and implementation of provider negotiations, growth strategy and improvement of existing operational activities within budget constraints.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Provides leadership and oversight of team with ongoing development and implementation of growth and business strategies that are responsive to the needs of the organization and supports fulfillment of Regal and ADOC Medical Group networks

Establishes and maintains effective organization and directs the selection, employment, compensation, and evaluation of all employees in his/her area of direct responsibilities.

Conduct ongoing staff development activities that advance skills and network development processes by mentoring employees at various levels to achieve performance metrics

Ensures appropriate management of regional staff, including timely completion of performance appraisals and enforcing corrective counseling, when necessary.

Works with Vice President of Network Management to understand areas for improvement, makes recommendations and implements as appropriate.

Develops and fosters a provider satisfaction focused, service mentality within region to strengthen and build relationships with other Regal Medical Group regions and departments and communicates a balanced view of Regional Operations importance in relation to other departments and business functions.

Identifies network needs and communicates deficiencies and/or new areas of growth to Vice President of Network Management.

Assesses network performance and recommends changes to network based upon financial or statistical results.

Ensures contract compliance and adherence to DMHC, DHS, CMS and other regulatory agencies as required by contracting HMOs.

Facilitate quarterly Joint Operations Meetings with contracted Primary Care Physicians, Hospitals and Ancillary Providers as needed or requested.

Assure compliance with the Employee Handbook policies and procedures.

Resolve Provider grievances and appeals in accordance with contractual requirements and corporate policy.

Conduct staff meetings on at least a monthly basis.

Attends administrative meetings and provides information to staff as appropriate.

Develops and monitors regional budget.

Monitors resource utilization within the region and enacts plans to improve efficiencies and reduce expenses.

Develops and implements policies, processes and procedures necessary to achieve strategic objectives.

Ensures all operational services meets regulatory and quality standards and guidelines

Performs other duties as necessary. The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be up to $180,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, licensure, skills, and experience.

The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.

Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Mileage Education and / or Experience:

A Bachelors degree from a four-year college

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Fundamental management skills of planning, organizing and delegation, ability to mentor, coach and council.

In-depth knowledge, experience and understanding of the managed care industry including a minimum of five years progressive management experience encompassing management of healthcare operational activities

Strong track record of success in senior management positions, experience in provider organization preferred.

Medical group or IPA operations management experience
