Structural Engineer - PE

Our client in the Boston Metro area is seeking a full time direct hire Structural Engineer with an active Professional Engineer license in Massachusetts. The Structural Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: investigation of deteriorating structures; performance evaluations; preparation of detailed calculations; design accuracy to specifications; client presentations; investigative reporting; and project management to include internal customers, vendors, budgets, and schedules. Work will be a mix of field, in office, and remote.

To be considered, you must have:

5+ years of progressively responsible Structural Engineering experience designing, investigating, and analyzing masonry, concrete, steel, and wood framed structures.

Licensed registered PE in MA

Proficiency with developing and revising project specifications, field reports, technical reports, proposals, and project management

Proven ability to collaborate across an organization as well as with both internal and external parties

Solid organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and execute effectively

Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

Willingness and desire to mentor junior team members, as well as the desire for continuous professional growth and improvement

Master of Science / Engineering degree in Structural Engineering

Valid Driver's License and reliable motor vehicle Nice to have:

Experience with analysis software tools such as SAFE, RAM, SAP, ETABS, and RISA

Proficiency with scripting tools such as VBA, Python, or Mathcad for engineering computations
