Medical Assistant - Ortho

Job Duties:

The Medical Assistant will support the practice workflows in a variety of ways. Some (not all) are as follows:

-triage patients with detailed medication reconciliation

-administer injections

-phlebotomy and/or finger sticks

-schedule follow-up visits

-assist provider with exams and procedures

-conduct calls with patients/other offices about results/needs according to provider guidance

-obtain prior authorizations/referrals Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required

Certified Medical Assistant with previous orthopedic clinic experience preferred

Proficient with MS Office software including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is preferred

Ability towork quickly and efficiently

Must have organizational skills and a professional demeanor to work effectively with external and internal personnel

Proper oral and written communication and telephone etiquette are required

The ability to speak fluent Spanish is preferred
