General Helper Forge- 2nd Shift

Position Summary

Entry-level position in the Forge Department. This job classification can promote to Forge Machine Operator, Metal Parts Finisher, Production Saw Operator, or other machine operator position.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Count parts

Clean work area

Grind metal parts

Load/unload sand blaster

Operate furnace (load/unload)

Other duties as assigned Experience and Education

High School diploma or equivalent Technical Skills

Experience in a manufacturing environment helpful

Ability to lift 25 pounds throughout the shift

Ability to read production instructions in English Physical Demands

Must be able to stand up to three hours at a time and during an 8-10-hour shift

Must be able to sit, bend, twist, stoop, reach overhead

Uses hands to grind metal parts

Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds

Must be able to work in a heated environment Organizational Relationships

Reports to Department Supervisor
