TITLE: Continuous Improvement Engineer

Comp: From $80,000-$115,000/year

Location: Bloomington, IN

Our client is seeking immediate assistance in identifying a candidate for a Continuous Improvement Engineer direct hire position in Bloomington, IN

Responsibilities:

Quickly understand manufacturing workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement process improvements.

Utilize methodologies such as Root Cause Analysis to diagnose issues and develop effective solutions.

Propose, document, and oversee the execution of corrective actions to ensure long-term process enhancements.

Work closely with various teams to ensure solutions align with all stakeholders' needs.

Provide coaching on CI techniques, including KPI utilization, waste reduction, and problem-solving strategies.

Foster a culture of innovation and continuous process enhancement using Lean principles.

Define and track KPIs related to productivity, quality, customer satisfaction, and efficiency.

Conduct studies (e.g., time studies) to gather data, recommend cycle time reductions, and enhance operational efficiency.

Ensure all process documentation meets company standards, is accurate, and is updated in a timely manner.

Utilize tools such as electronic value stream mapping (EVSM) to analyze and improve workflow. Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required (preferred in Industrial, Mechanical, or Biomedical Engineering).

5-10+ years in manufacturing

5-10+ years specifically in a Continuous Improvement or Lean-focused role.

Proven experience facilitating CI initiatives across multiple divisions.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Hands-on experience with value stream mapping

Comfort working with and analyzing large datasets.
