CAD Designer/Drafter - Microtek

Job Summary

Microtek is seeking a Design/Drafter to join our Surgical RD&E team in either Alpharetta, GA or Eagan, MN. This role supports testing and updates supporting RD&E projects including branded and external OEM medical device products. This position will work with cross-functional team members including RD&E, Manufacturing, Marketing, Regulatory, and Quality to achieve objectives.

Job Description

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare detailed engineering drawings and 3D models utilizing SolidWorks and Autocad

Communicate with design engineers and clients incorporating concepts into models and drawings

Create 3D models from rough sketches

Create CAD assembles as required

Implement GD&T methodology to capture design intent

Revise and review engineering drawings (Process ECN's)

Ensure models/drawings conform to internal and external drawing standards

Design and manufacturing problem solving

Procure 3D printed prototypes

Follow all SOPs and WI

Function within all quality systems and regulations, particularly related to medical devices Education

Associate's degree or equivalent from technical school (Mechanical Design or similar degree strongly preferred) Experience

1+ year CAD experience

Experience with Solidworks and AutoCad (Certified Solidworks Associate or higher)

Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Word

Ability to work under general supervision on assigned tasks or portions of a project Preferred Qualifications:

5-years' experience as a drafter/designer

Additional certification from the American Design Drafting Association (ADDA)

Strong knowledge of GD&T and application

Good understanding of traditional manufacturing processes

Comfortable working in cross-functional teams or alone

Excellent math skills

Self-motivated

Problem-solving and communication skills

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$62,400.00 - $90,480.00 Annual

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
