Advancement Opportunities Summary/Objective
The Manager of Human Resources will be responsible for overseeing the Human Resources and Recruitment functions of our companies and will report to the VP of Safety & HR. Responsibilities to plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and team members of the Human Resource (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization's mission and talent strategy.
Essential Functions of the HR Manager:
Collaborates with VP, Safety & HR to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
Oversees the daily workflow of the department
Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implement policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization's human resource compliance and strategy needs.
Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization's human resource information system (HRIS).
Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for HR team members.
Performs other duties as required.
Coordinates with Safety Manager on related issues for best practices within the departments.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.

Required: Bachelor of Business Administration from an accredited program.
Required: 5+ years of experience in an HR Manager role

Preferred: SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP Requirements of the HR Generalist
This is a full-time position in office. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. through 4:30 p.m., and Fridays 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Must be willing to be flexible with hours as after hour needs may arise.
Ability to travel to different markets within the company
Must adhere to all company screenings. Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15lbs at a time.
Must be able to access and navigate each departments office and/or job site.
