What's the Opportunity?

IMS is currently seeking a Distribution Manager for our Kenosha, WI warehouse. This position will manage IMS' receiving and shipping operations and direct all aspects of the area including merchandise inventory, shipping and receiving, project management and maintenance of the assigned area(s). The Distribution Manager will assure delivery of all projects on time, at or under cost, and with exceptional quality.

Responsibilities Include:

Account service - work with Account teams and Client project managers to plan projects, communicate details, submit estimates if needed, and ensure the project meets client's expectations

P&L responsibilities - aggressively manage monthly forecasts, monitor warehouse gross profit and tightly control expenses

Inventory management - aggressively manage process compliance for assigned activity (receiving, shipping and inventory control)

Project management - develop and manage all aspects of a project by planning staff, space and supplies

Quality assurance - key driver to guarantee quality meets or exceeds client's requirements

Oversee kit pack-out and distribution - work with internal/external teams in delivering accurate, efficient, on-time pack-out at or under budget

Project completion - oversee the close of a project which includes computer system work, facility clean-up, product put-away and invoicing

Staffing - assist in staff hiring, training, development and motivation

Safety & OSHA - assure all employees follow Federal, State and OSHA requirements for safety and operations Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

4+ years of project management experience in a warehouse/distribution center environment

4+ years of team management experience, ideally in a warehouse/distribution center environment

Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and manage priorities under tight timelines

Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team

Exceptional client service and presentation skills

Critical thinking, strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability

Ability to handle a variety of tasks effectively and efficiently

Ability to prioritize multiple projects and requests

Must be a team player

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products What We Offer
