Arglass Furnace is a fresh startup entering this market as a new innovative disrupter of the norm in glass manufacturing. Arglass plans to be the plant of choice for the spirits and beverage industries. As the first new glass plant in America in over a generation, Arglass is born to serve those customers whose needs for flexibility, efficiency and customization are not being met by legacy U.S. manufacturers or foreign glass suppliers. The plant has been designed by considering the best available proven technology and layout to provide high quality, highly flexible and efficient production.

We are seeking an Plant Controller to join the team in Valdosta, GA

Status of hire: Full time/exempt

Industry: Glass container manufacturing

Shift/Schedule: Day shift

Responsibilities:

The Plant Controller will perform audits of the organization's manufacturing, inventory, financial, and information systems, assessing compliance with applicable standards and guidelines and sufficiency of internal controls.

Determine internal audit scope and frequency to develop an audit matrix

Audits the company's financial records, statements, and reports, verifying accuracy and consistency.

Audits the company's information systems, assessing compliance with data security and storage requirements.

Audits inventory and manufacturing processes to ensure best practices and data accuracy.

Reviews adjacent business practices to ensure accountability of partners.

Develops, implements and reviews internal controls, policies, and procedures for effectiveness.

Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings

Drafts and presents reports of findings and analysis; identifies and recommends revisions and improvements to practices and procedures.

Document process and prepare audit findings memorandum

Conduct follow up audits to monitor management's interventions

Works across departments to identify opportunities and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

Protect against fraud and theft of the organization's assets

Ensure that the organization is complying with relevant laws and statutes

Make recommendations on how to improve internal controls and governance processes Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or other industry-related field; MBA preferred

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.

Ability to thrive in a fast paced and demanding position.

Ability to analyze complex data, concisely present actionable intelligence and act on that intelligence

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

Committed to continuous improvement.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Physical Requirements:

Must be able to work in an office environment

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
