Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Training & Development Specialist to join our HR team reporting to one of our Sr HR Generalists. This role will be pivotal in developing and designing a comprehensive training approach. You will work closely with our technical training program team to enhance our onboarding process for new talent and refresh the skills of senior team members. You will also ensure that production and support roles, including engineering, supply chain, logistics, customer services, sales, HR, and IT, receive ongoing training to keep their skills current.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Learning Leadership & Programs:

Develop and design a training department with standard work procedures.

Collaborate with the technical training team to improve training processes.

Enhance onboarding programs for new employees.

Refresh and update training for senior team members.

Ensure continuous training for production support roles.

Promote and maintain a learning-conscious culture across the site.

Manage training programs and systems, including certifications, assessments, qualifications whether required or optional.

Transition from spreadsheets to integrated systems for training management.

Prepare the organization for ISO audits and maintain training inventory.

Maintain the system for training documentation. 2. Subject Matter Expertise:

Provide guidance to site leadership and supervision on training-related matters.

Conduct and coordinate training for all employees to ensure compliance with legal, system, and customer requirements.

Maintain accurate records as mandated by legal and customer standards. 3. Collaboration & Partnerships:

Coordinate and partner with external agencies such as:

East Central College (ECC)

American Association for Industrial Management (AAIM)

The Quality Coach

American Welding Society (AWS)

Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM)

Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)

Kone Cranes

Resolution Consulting

Plum

Coordinate training skills assessments and proficiency programs.

Work with all levels of the organization to identify training needs and solutions.

Partner with Federal, State, and local agencies on workforce development grants and programs. Requirements

Basic:

Ability to work according to the WEG-Code-of-Ethics (English ).

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, or related field or equivalent experience.

Proven experience in training and development.

Ability to work with other sites and corporate training leaders within a global WEG structure.

Demonstrable experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS).

Strong project management and organizational skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with site leaders at all levels.

Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and external partners.

Successful candidates will complete: application, talent assessment, interviews, drug & background screens.

Current work authorization in the United States. Preferred:

Experience in integrated talent management.

Experience in a manufacturing firm within a Union environment.

Familiarity with Paylocity Learning Management System (LMS) and SAP.

Experience in successful implementation / adoption / improvement of paperless LMS.

PHR, SHRM-CP, APTD, or Professional Certificate in Training & Development.

Ability to work with other sites and corporate training leaders within a global WEG structure.

$63K - $80.5K / Year
