Warehouse Manager

Homans Associates (HA) is a subsidiary of the largest independent HVAC/R distribution company in the world, Watsco, Inc. We proudly distribute the Mitsubishi and Bryant brands of HVAC equipment, as well as a full-line of HVAC residential and commercial parts, supplies, and accessories. We have locations throughout New England, New York, and New Jersey. We currently have an opening for an Assistant Warehouse Manager working out of our Commack, NY location. There is no relocation assistance offered for this position.

Responsibilities:

Directly supervises and assigns tasks to Warehouse Associates based on business need and customer priority.

Supervises the performance of all tasks involved in the shipment, requisition and storage of materials, supplies, and equipment into and from warehouse.

Significant involvement in scheduling and routing of equipment/supplies delivery.

Communicates directly with customers and coordinates efforts with the sales team.

Coordinates material flow within organization.

Improves workflow processes to increase productivity, ensures work force safety and manages warehouse inventory.

Other duties as assigned Qualifications:

Experienced forklift operator/warehouse shipping and professional, with at least 3-5 years supervisory experience.

Must have strong distribution/shipping/receiving experience.

Successful candidate will be proficient in basic PC skills as well as Microsoft Office.

HVAC experience is preferred, but not required

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal (Teambuilding) skills

Proven commitment to customer service and a safe work environment

Must be able to lift 50 pounds

Must be team-oriented

High School diploma required. College degree preferred.
