CMM Programmer / Quality Technician

A manufacturer in NW San Antonio is hiring a CMM Programmer / Quality Technician who thrives in a collaborative, quality-driven environment. In this role you’ll play a critical role in ensuring components meet the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

Program and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) using PC-DMIS (Hexagon) or Calypso (Zeiss).

Perform a range of metrology inspections including incoming material checks, First Article Inspections (FAI), PPAP (supplier and customer), and special inspections.

Maintain and update inspection dashboards and Incoming Inspection Control Plans to keep processes running smoothly and data organized.

Support Supplier Quality Engineering efforts by aligning with external partners on measurement strategy, inspection methods, and CMM programming.

Collaborate with the Engineering Team during New Product Development (NPD) to validate designs and quality requirements.

Use precision tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, profilometers, thread gauges) to confirm tolerances and part integrity.

Requirements:

3+ years of experience in quality or metrology inspection.

Confidence in reading mechanical engineering drawings and applying GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards.

Hands on experience with FAIs, AQL sampling, and Capability Studies using tools like Minitab or SPC XL.

Working knowledge of the AIAG PPAP process and experience supporting ISO audits.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Access)..

12AM – 8AM

Pay Rate:

$28 - $30/Hour
