Job Title: IT Support Technician (Contract)

Location: Liverpool, NY 13088 (Onsite)

Job Type: Full-time, 3-month contract

Salary Range: $23 - $25/hr depending on experience

About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive IT Support Technician to provide hands-on technical assistance within our corporate environment. This role focuses on supporting internal infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation of hardware, software, and network systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, a customer-centric approach, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the first point of contact for internal IT support requests, addressing hardware, software, and network issues.

Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop systems, printers, and other peripheral devices.

Manage user accounts and access permissions through Active Directory and related systems.

Assist in the deployment and maintenance of software applications and system updates.

Document support activities, solutions, and procedures for knowledge base development.

Collaborate with the IT team to identify and implement process improvements.

Ensure compliance with company IT policies and security protocols.

Qualifications:

Education:

Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Experience:

2 years of experience in an IT support or help desk role.

Familiarity with supporting Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.

Experience with Active Directory and user account management.

Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols.

Knowledge of remote support tools and ticketing systems.

Certifications:

CompTIA A+ certification preferred but not required.

Soft Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
