Lead IT Auditor

4 plus years of experience as an IT Auditor

Venteon Finance is currently seeking a Lead IT Auditor for a leading automotive manufacturing company located in the metro Detroit area. This position will be involved in planning, performing, and reporting on auditing activities, which includes reviewing and evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of IT internal controls.

Requirements of the Lead IT Auditor

Bachelor s degree in Information Systems, Accounting or Finance

4 plus years of relevant experience

Professional certification (CISA, CISSP, CPA) or advanced degree preferred

A combination of public accounting and corporate IT audit experience, leading teams and/or large projects is ideal.

Experience with manufacturing company preferred.

Strong project management skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Proven analytical and problem-solving/critical thinking skills

Solid understanding of IT general controls

Strong interpersonal skills

Responsibilities of the Lead IT Auditor

Assist the IT Senior Audit Manager in conducting risk assessment and designing testing strategy during audit planning.

Plan and perform assigned audits; prepare audit programs and work papers detailing audit procedures, ensuring adequate evidence is obtained in accordance with departmental and professional standards.

Schedule, prepare presentations, and conduct audit-related meetings.

Review the work of team members on the project to ensure that standards are met. Mentor audit team members.

Assist IT auditors in the identification, assessment, and reporting on exceptions to compliance with policies, procedures, standards and guidelines, and weaknesses in IT internal controls.

Leverage knowledge and understanding of IT internal control methodologies, processes, and controls; and standard industry practices.
