Job Summary
ACC’s Institutional Research team is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented part-time Data Analyst to support data collection, analysis, and reporting initiatives that inform institutional planning and policy. This is a great opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals interested in data analytics, research, and the impact of higher education.
This is a short-term, temporary position through the end of June 2025. It’s anticipated that this position will work an average of 10 hours per week.
Under the supervision of Institutional Research (IR) staff and following documented procedures, the entry-level data analyst will assist with specific, basic data analysis and standardization tasks to support reporting and deliverables. Responsibilities include contributing to discrete data projects under the guidance of IR analysts and the director, performing data draws and compiling data files, conducting data entry, manipulation, and validation, and transferring data to reporting dashboards for recurring reports. The role also involves documenting processes, preparing summary data for website updates, and interpreting and standardizing data from multiple sources.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills with the ability to compile, organize, standardize, analyze, and interpret large sets of data.
Advanced proficiency with data transformation and analysis in Excel or similar spreadsheet application (e.g., Google Sheets).
Basic knowledge of statistical concepts and techniques.
Knowledge of college and university data and/or related subject matter (e.g., students, enrollment topics, student success) is ideal, but possible related skillsets may be found from engineering, math and computer science, among other disciplines.
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.
