Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate and tech-savvy Middle School Computer Teacher to lead students in developing foundational computer science skills aligned with the Oklahoma Academic Standards for Computer Science. This position also includes opportunities to support building-level technology needs and contribute meaningfully to a thriving school culture.
In addition to classroom instruction, the ideal candidate will have interest or experience in esports and be open to continuing a successful middle school esports club that engages students in teamwork, strategic thinking, and digital citizenship.
Primary Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, standards-based instruction in computer science to 6th-8th grade students
Design and implement units on digital literacy, computing systems, coding, algorithms, networks, and data using the Oklahoma Academic Standards for Computer Science
Create a classroom environment that promotes inquiry, collaboration, and creativity in digital learning
Support school technology needs (e.g., device troubleshooting, tech setup for events, managing classroom tech inventory) in coordination with the district tech team
Work collaboratively with grade-level teams and instructional leadership to integrate technology in other core content areas
Build strong relationships with students, families, and staff
Actively participate in schoolwide events, professional development, and the promotion of a joyful and respectful school culture Ideal Candidates Will Have:

Working knowledge of computer science fundamentals, coding, and digital literacy

An interest in esports and how it can promote student engagement and character development
Willingness to take initiative in both classroom and school-level technology needs
Strong classroom management and a student-centered approach to instruction Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
Coursework in Computer Science, Educational Technology, or a related field preferred
