BAE Systems is looking for a Sr. SW Quality Assurance Engineer for future work on our government customer’s new program that delivers applications and solutions across multiple classification levels in the environment. The Sr. Software Quality Assurance Engineerwill be expected to:

Performs Software Quality Assurance and Software License Management requirements. Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains standards for software quality operating methods, processes, and procedures. Conducts evaluation of software systems including requirements, design, development, documentation, integration, test, verification and validation.

Defines and applies Software Quality Assurance measures to ensure product quality. Develops operating criteria to ensure implementation of the software quality program according to project, process and contract requirements and objectives.

Recognized Software Quality Assurance expert within the organization. Advocates for and ensures software quality through metrics. Evaluates and determines changes in methods or procedures in assigned area of responsibility.

Typical Education and Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

DoD 8570 IAT II (or better) Certification (i.e. CompTIA Security+)

Experience in designing and executing test plans and test cases on computer and software applications and systems.

Experience automating test cases.

Strong demonstrated communication skills – written, oral, verbal

Eight (8) years of overall relevant work experience

Preferred Skills and Education

Experience with testing high performance and large-scale immersive visualization systems. Experience with the testing of java-based software applications with various backend databases such as MySql, Postgres, Oracle and SQLserver.

Experience with testing, using VMware client. Experience with Revolution R. Experience performing application builds, using TFS, Jenkins or other continuous integration server. Experience using Git for version control. Experience using defect tracking system such as JIRA.
