POSITION SUMMARY:
Assists in the development and execution of civic innovation initiatives with City, community, and research partners.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist with smart city project scoping and development, including best practice research and use case analysis.
Support the design and administration of local digital equity initiatives in collaboration with community partners and the Citys Technology Equity Manager.
Engage with community members to gather resident feedback on City policies and programming.
Analyze civic data, including demographic data and environmental data, to inform City programs.
Assist in the configuration and maintenance of smart city sensors.
Serve as backup to other I&T staff members.
NON-ESSENTIAL/MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma
Enrolled in a degree-seeking program, preferably in the areas of social science, engineering, or other relevant field of study
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Ability to travel to multiple sites as required.
Self-motivated with keen attention to detail.
Adaptable, curious, and team-oriented.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSE, REGISTRATION:
Valid Drivers license required.
