ORGANIZATION SUMMARY World Relief is a global Christian humanitarian organization whose mission is to boldly engage the world’s greatest crises in partnership with the church.

The organization was founded in the aftermath of World War II to respond to the urgent humanitarian needs of war-torn Europe.

Today, organizational programming focuses on humanitarian and disaster response, community strengthening and resilience, and refugee & immigrant services and advocacy.

This position is reliant upon funding and may be subject to modification or termination based on resource availability.

POSITION SUMMARY: World Relief Quad Cities is looking for a passionate Church Mobilizer to help advance our mission of empowering vulnerable communities.

In this role, you’ll inspire individuals, churches, and businesses to join us in transforming lives through partnership and support of World Relief Quad Cities Good Neighbors programs.

Together, we can create lasting change and build flourishing communities

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee and coordinate the Good Neighbor Team (GNT) program in support of the work of World Relief Quad Cities (50%)

Build partnerships with local area churches to lay groundwork for GNTs

Work closely with the Director of Outreach and Development, Volunteer Coordinator, and church partners to recruit, screen, train, supervise, and support GNT volunteers

Facilitate communication and trainings between WRQC staff, GNT volunteers and GNT participants

Schedule regular check ins/debriefs with GNT volunteers, church partners, and clients throughout entire process (6-8 months) of relationship building, volunteer training, matching, active volunteering, and off boarding to ensure meaningful experiences for both volunteers and clients

Maintain current and relevant training materials for GNTs, updating the curriculum as needed

Assist Community Engagement team members with general volunteer orientations, events, community engagement and program activities

Build new and maintain existing church partnerships

Meet regularly with new and existing church partners to develop partnerships

Speak regularly in partner churches to raise involvement with and support WRQC mission

Provide guidance to church partners on best practices in immigrant outreach

Fundraising Duties (50%)

Supporting World Relief Quad Cities’ fundraising efforts

Implement a fundraising plan to support the growth of the Good Neighbors Team programs, covering all stages of donor relations: Identification, Qualification, Cultivation, Solicitation, and Stewardship

Facilitate one-on-one connections between the Church and Community Engagement Team and key donors for personalized engagement

Promote and support events to increase donor engagement and deepen church partnerships

Coordinate and assist with fundraising events, ensuring they inspire giving and increase awareness with the focus on fund development for the GNT program

Steward Donor and Funder Relationships

Other responsibilities as needed to further fundraising goals and support the mission of World Relief Quad Cities

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Mature and personal Christian faith

Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief

Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities

Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document

Undergraduate degree or combination of related education and experience

3 years of related professional work, at least one year in the nonprofit sector

Experience working with churches

Proficiency in email marketing platforms (HubSpot, Mailchimp) for donor engagement.

Experience with social media tools (Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn) for campaign management.

Experience with CRM software (Raiser’s Edge NXT, MS Dynamics, Salesforce, HubSpot, others)

Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for communication and reporting.

Excellent writing skills to craft compelling, audience-driven messages.

Must have access to reliable transportation and ability to travel to meetings or events
