Description

Overview:

Join our Chiyoda team as a Robotics Technician. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented technician to support, maintain, and improve robotic systems used in our injection molding processes. Key Responsibilities:

Install, program, troubleshoot, and maintain robotic systems (e.g., ABB, FANUC, STAR or other industrial robots)

Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on automated equipment

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software issues related to robotics and automation

Support production by minimizing downtime and optimizing robotic cell performance

Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve cycle times, efficiency, and product quality

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment modifications

Ensure safety and compliance with company and OSHA standards in all automation processes

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Associate degree or technical certification in Robotics, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or related field (or equivalent experience)

2+ years of experience working with industrial robotics in a manufacturing environment, preferably in plastic injection molding

Proficiency with PLCs, HMIs, and industrial sensors

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends or holidays as needed
