Description

We're looking for a Drafter to join our Stanton Millworks team. In this role, you'll turn architectural specs into accurate shop drawings that help us build with precision. You'll also manage CAD files, convert drawings into CNC-ready formats, and partner with project managers to get every detail right.

Create clear, detailed drawings from written or verbal instructions

Convert AutoCAD drawings for CNC production

Keep CAD files organized and up to date

Work directly with project managers to align drawings with specs and standards

Review drawings for accuracy and completeness

Support the team with technical questions or solutions

Join project meetings and contribute to planning

Prepare drawing sets for customer submittals

Draft supporting documents like material lists and cost estimates

Jump between projects as needed and stay connected with team members throughout the shop

Qualifications

Ability to read and understand architectural drawings

High attention to detail and consistency

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience updating and maintaining technical drawings

Ability to interpret sketches and convert them into accurate plans

Solid time management across multiple deadlines

Working knowledge of drafting standards and engineering practices

Strong math skills

Required: 2+ years using AutoCAD

Required: Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
