Reports to: Extract Plant Manger
Job Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent (required).
Minimum three months related experience with demonstrated aptitude to learn on-the-job.
Must be able to effectively communicate in written and verbal form with co-workers, supervisor and management.
Proven written skills to accurately document and complete required paperwork.
PC skills – Microsoft Excel & Word and Outlook.
Familiarity with plant equipment operations (chiller, boiler, pumps).
Follow written and verbal instructions.
Job Summary:
Monitors, operates and maintains equipment and systems associated with the operation of the Extract Plant in a safe, reliable and efficient manner in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, SOPs, policies and procedure.
Job Duties:
Perform in a Physical fast paced work environment.
Cover vacation and sick leave for off shifts (Extraction Operator) and assume duties of that position. Employee coverage may include working OT on weekends and Holidays.
Responsible for signing off on all required paperwork to be completed during shift.
Provide technical direction and guidance to plant employees.
Reinforce behavioral modifications in the areas of safety and performance.
Deliver training to production team members.
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
Operate process equipment while following standard operating procedures.
Control of extract plant using the automated PLC system. This control of operation is limited when compared to the duties of shift supervisors and plant lead.
Forklift operation.
Solve problems and make decisions that will positively impact the manufacture of products.
Monitor production to meet delivery and quality requirements.
Troubleshoot process upsets, equipment malfunction, and yield variances.
Housekeeping.
Assist shift members in duties.
Assist Packaging and Maintenance Teams as needed. Responsible for assuring that all daily, weekly, monthly and annual maintenance occurs and that the respective documentation is completed as outlined in the Maintenance Log.
Maintain sanitary and safe work environment.
Follow safety requirements.
May actively participate on company’s Safety Committee.
Ensure that company safety policies as well as federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations are observed.
Must have a complete understanding of company’s policies, SOPs, QPs, EPs, HACCP and cGMP that pertain to their department to ensure quality, safety, efficiency and sustainability.
Must adhere to all company policies.
Examine documents, materials, and products and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy and conformance to standards and specifications.
Follow all SOPs in a given area.
Perform all other duties as assigned by Manager and/or designee.
