Pay range: $117,800 - $ 147,250

YOUR ROLE

Accountable for the fiscal and operational oversight, leadership, direction and overall management of a region; and sales of diverse products and services in large markets to ensure that growth and profitability goals and objectives are met. Also, responsible for implementation and compliance with company policies and procedures, ISO standards, and all applicable regulatory guidelines. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Oversee, lead, direct and manage the fiscal and overall operations of a region to ensure that growth and profitability goals and objectives are met.

Responsible for business development, sales, marketing and new account development for the region to ensure that maximum transportation revenue is generated to achieve profitability goals and objectives.

Plan and implement appropriate resources (staffing, training, equipment, and systems) to ensure contractual compliance and delivery of quality services that meet and exceed the customer’s expectations.

Provide the region operation’s team with daily guidance, leadership and overall support on any issues relating to operations, communication, revenue enhancement, human resources, procedures standardization, systems applications, and process execution.

Work directly with the region management team to establish regional and local goals within the parameters of the region operation’s business plan.

Develop and execute policies, plans, and programs to meet anticipated organizational needs in the areas of functional responsibility.

Work collaboratively with sales, marketing, customer service, operations, IT and corporate administration to ensure efficient operations.

Review and evaluate regional P & L performance and establish short term goals to address any budgetary shortfalls.

Develop continuous improvement methodology in key areas of service profit and growth.

Develop customer relationships and ensure that customer service and operational levels within the region operations are maintained.

Assist regions with sales presentations, customer bids, and the promotion of the company’s products and services.

Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, ISO standards and all applicable regulatory laws and guidelines.

Oversee and manage the professional development and productivity of direct reports to ensure proper goals, training, professional development and project requirements are met.

Keep abreast of emerging technology changes and innovations through formal or informal study, reading business and professional publications, networking, and participation in professional organizations.

Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Education and Experience:

High School Degree or GED required.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Transportation, Logistics or a related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education, work experience and completion of the LDP Program.

Minimum twelve years related experience in progressively responsible roles in similar environments required.

Minimum seven years industry experience preferred.

Minimum seven years supervisory or managerial experience required.

Minimum seven years in a leadership role required with some experience over multiple facilities required.

Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.

Skills:

Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.

Ability to communicate and interact effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds.

Exceptional written and oral communication skills including the ability to persuade, influence, negotiate, and make formal presentations in meetings and training environments.

Ability to manage the financial aspects of a department (purchasing, budget preparations and review, financial reporting and monitoring expenses, P & L experience) required.

Experience leading large number facilities, geographically dispersed working to retain and grow business.

Excellent planning, time management, collaboration, decision making, and organization skills required.

Ability to develop short and long-range project planning and effectively communicate information to diverse work groups required.

Experienced in project management methodologies with a focus on managing solution driven strategy plans to achieve goals required.
