One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations OR Nursing Certification (CNOR) Summary: The Operating Room Registered Nurse provides comprehensive patient care throughout the perioperative process, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients during surgical procedures.

This role involves preparing the operating room, managing surgical equipment, and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

The OR RN collaborates with multidisciplinary teams and adheres to the highest standards of patient safety, infection control, and professional ethics in a dynamic surgical environment.

Prepare the operating room by ensuring all required instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies are ready and functional for each surgical procedure Assists in positioning and preparing patients for surgery, addressing concerns and ensuring comfort and safety according to procedural requirements Maintains a sterile field throughout surgical procedures and adhering to infection control protocols and sterile technique Monitors patient's condition during surgery, documenting significant changes and notifying the surgeon of any significant changes Handles surgical instruments and supplies, ensuring their proper use, sterilization, and disposal according to facility protocols Manage specimen collection, labeling, and transport according to facility protocols, ensuring accurate diagnostic results Documents all aspects of patient care in the perioperative setting accurately and thoroughly Participate in patient handoff communication during pre- and post-operative phases ensuring continuity of care Assist in cleaning and restocking the operating room between cases, adhering to infection control and turnover protocols Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and standards Follow hospital safety rules and procedures, including proper use of PPE and infection prevention measures The ability to read, write, & communicate in the English language is required Physical Abilities - Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bending Technical/Motor Skills - Ability to grasp, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment.

Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally as well as working without assistance from other personnel.

Sensory - Visual acuity, ability to effectively communicate.
