NY Kids Club is a leading provider of early childhood education and private enrichment classes committed to physical, intellectual, and social experiences for children from 8 weeks to 12 years old. Through innovative classes, creative camps, one-of-a-kind birthday celebrations and events, our approach inspires each child’s inherent love of learning in a fun and energetic environment.

We are seeking a part-time Graphic Designer that will help bring our programs to life! This person will play a crucial role in supporting marketing and sales initiatives with strong design, content creation, and branding. The expected time commitment is 10-20 hours per week, varying based on demand. Preference will be given to people in the New York City metro area who will be able to occasionally collaborate in-person.

Responsibilities:

Create visually compelling graphics and promotional materials, including email marketing, organic & paid social media, digital ads, print ads, flyers, brochures, signage, and more.

Create templates using Canva in which teammates can edit text details for future events.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, brainstorm ideas, and deliver high-quality design solutions that meet objectives and deadlines.

Bring fresh ideas and creative concepts to the table, staying informed about design trends and industry best practices to continuously elevate our visual content and messaging.

Receive and incorporate feedback from team members and stakeholders to refine designs and ensure they effectively communicate the desired message and resonate with our audience.

Requirements:

This job is for you if:

Bachelor’s degree in graphic design and/or commensurate experience.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) AND Canva required.

Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout techniques.

Creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for storytelling through visual mediums.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Must be honest, dependable, receptive to feedback, and able to meet deadlines.

Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Ability to think creatively and innovatively.

Ability to use storytelling to bring to life the unique selling proposition of our brand.

Experience working with children or family-centered content a plus.

Video editing experience a plus.

Physical Demands:

The role involves standing, walking, sitting, constant movement, and occasional climbing. The ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds is required. Specific sensory abilities include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjustment of focus.
