Job Description

1.0 JOB SUMMARY:

1.1 The CNC Press Brake Operator is responsible for the daily setup and operation of hydraulic CNC controlled press brakes in a metal fabrication shop. The operator may be required to assist other operators as a helper on high priority work or other machines as required. This is a cross functional position within the Press Brake department.

2.0 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Set up and operate a press brake for routine established work.

• Select correct tooling for the job task with setup documents.

• Load, install and correctly set up the tools required.

• Perform assigned work within time standards and quality expectations.

• Inspect work of coworkers as required.

• Account for time and work completed.

• Safely handle materials and completed work.

• Make routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve basic manufacturing issues, or seek assistance from qualified sources.

• Report and document basic material, production and quality control issues.

• Maintain performance log books on assigned area equipment, and report deficiencies.

• Participate in equipment preventative maintenance at the operator level.
