As a Sales Center Associate at Scherer Bros. Lumber Co., you’ll play a key role in helping customers find the right building materials for their projects. From providing expert guidance to processing orders and estimates, your support will ensure a smooth and positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service: Greet and assist customers in person and by phone

Product Knowledge: Stay informed on building materials and industry trends

Order Processing: Enter orders, coordinate with vendors, and arrange deliveries

Estimating: Read blueprints and calculate material needs and costs

Showroom Maintenance: Keep displays organized and information current

Continuous Improvement: Suggest and support process improvements

Safety: Follow safety protocols and report any hazards

What We’re Looking For:

High School Diploma or equivalent

2-5 years of experience in building materials industry or related field

Strong customer service and communication skills

Knowledge of building materials or related experience

Ability to read blueprints and perform material estimates

Comfortable using computers and working in a fast-paced environment
