Job Description
An international automotive parts manufacturing company is currently seeking a motivated Industrial Maintenance Technician to join their facility in the southeastern Columbus, Ohio area. The ideal candidate will have experience with injection molding equipment, robotics and PLC systems, and a positive, team-oriented mindset. This is a full-time, direct hire position on 1st shift. Entry-level candidates and new graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply!
Industrial Maintenance Technician Responsibilities Include:
Conduct preventative, general, and emergency maintenance on equipment and machinery (hydraulic / pneumatic equipment, CNC, PLC, robotics, etc.)
Read mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams to resolve issues and complete repairs
Follow a predictive maintenance schedule and assist with planning scheduled downtime activities
Ensure personal compliance to OSHA, EPA, and other safety / environmental requirements and standards
Tracking of tool and material inventory
Creation of maintenance activity reports for management
Other duties as assigned
Industrial Maintenance Technician Qualifications Include:
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum 1-3 years’ hands-on experience (including professional training, apprenticeships, etc.) in the set-up, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery
Prior experience with tool and die equipment, injection molding machinery, and PLC systems is preferred
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating, and maintenance documents
Good communication and collaboration skills in a multicultural environment
Strong problem-solving skills and time management ability
This position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
