Machine Shop Foreman - Must Have Supervisory Experience

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Machine Shop Foreman to lead our machine shop team. The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, ensure production goals are met, and maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily activities of machine shop personnel, including CNC, Lathe, and Mill machinists, and support staff.

Monitor equipment performance, ensuring proper maintenance and timely repairs.

Train and mentor team members to enhance skills and ensure adherence to safety protocols.

Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to resolve production issues.

Design and fabricate fixtures and tooling.

Maintain inventory of tools, materials, and supplies.

Enforce company policies and safety regulations.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of supervisory / lead experience in a machine shop environment.

Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.

Experience with CNC and Manual machining, and related equipment.

Experience with CAD / CAM systems (MasterCAM preferred).

Experience with machining castings preferred.

Experience with ordering of tooling for machines preferred.

Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.

Familiarity with safety standards and OSHA regulations.

High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in manufacturing preferred.
