Job Title: CNC Machinist Lead

Location: Anaheim, CA

Job Type: Full-Time

Expected Hours: 40 per week

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Machinist Lead to oversee CNC operations and lead a high-performing machining team. This is a dual role where you'll combine hands-on machining expertise with leadership responsibilities. Key Responsibilities

Machining Operations

Set up and operate 3-axis CNC mills and lathes for high-precision components

Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to define machining processes

Monitor and adjust machine settings for optimal accuracy and productivity

Operate and program Hurco machines at the machine level

Run MasterCAM for efficient programming and workflow execution

Perform quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools

Maintain and troubleshoot CNC equipment to ensure maximum uptime

Leadership & Team Management

Act as a working lead — providing frontline machining support while supervising team activities

Motivate, coach, and support machinists and operators on the shop floor

Ensure adherence to production schedules, safety protocols, and quality standards

Collaborate with production and engineering teams to continuously improve processes

Foster a collaborative environment that emphasizes continuous learning and operational excellence

Qualifications

3–5 years of hands-on experience in CNC machining and sheet metal fabrication

Proficiency with 3-axis CNC mills and lathes; experience with 4- or 5-axis machining preferred

Must be proficient in MasterCAM

Experience operating and programming Hurco machines

Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical documents

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Excellent communication and leadership skills

Detail-oriented and highly organized

Ability to perform basic arithmetic and work independently
