Glendale Development has an immediate opening for an AP Junior Staff Accountant to join our corporate office finance team. We are looking for a dynamic individual with strong accounts payable experience and general accounting experience to support our Accounting Department and Senior Accounting Staff. The AP Jr. Staff Accountant is responsible for AP processing, and assisting with various accounting tasks, including financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end processes. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development in the field of accounting.
Accounts Payable Responsibilities.
Process Vendor Invoices for 8 properties per company policies and procedures.
Ensure invoice images and supporting documents are accurate.
Enter invoice details into Glendale’s ERP by using accounts payable 3-way match process.
Calculate and apply accurate payment terms to vendor invoice entries.
May require advanced problem-solving concerning unit of measure differences and other research, as necessary.
Process vendors check payments per Company policy & procedures.
Provide elevated levels of support at Month End as well as Mid-Year and Year End, i.e., 1099 preparation.
Provide unparalleled customer service to both internal and external customers.
Accounting Responsibilities
Assist in monthly Bank Reconciliations
General Ledger entries & reconciliations
Tenant Accounting functions: Post daily receipts (Zego), Move in/move outs, Prepaids, Post NSF Payments.
Scan and process bank deposits and record transaction in accounting software
Assist in Month End Accounting Close
Assist Accounting Manager/CFO with Financial reporting and review.
Assist in Annual Workpaper preparation.
Assist in Annual Budget preparation.
Assist in Annual Capex tracking.
Additional projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
2+ years accounts payable and general accounting experience.
Minimum of associate’s degree in accounting, finance or equivalent.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Proficient data entry and 10-key skills, with keen attention to detail in a structured, paperless work environment.
Good written & verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with measured performance metrics.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.).
Experience with ERP systems a plus.
