Data Entry and Research Associate

Job Overview:

We are a fast-paced true crime & news media company opening a new office in Sparks, Nevada, and we're seeking a detail-oriented, dependable Data Entry and Research Associate to join our growing team. In this role, you'll be responsible for conducting research and accurately entering critical information to support our production, legal workflows, and operational needs.

This is a full-time, in-office position, ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, deadline-driven workplace, enjoys investigative work, and takes pride in accuracy and thoroughness.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct online research to gather information

Make and receive phone calls as part of research, administrative tasks, and information gathering

Accurately input and update collected data into databases

Organize, catalog, and maintain research findings for easy access

Cross-reference multiple sources to verify information and ensure accuracy

Assist with compiling reports, summaries, and tracking documents

Perform routine audits and quality checks on existing data to maintain system integrity

Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information at all times

Support broader administrative and operational tasks when needed

Qualifications:

Prior experience in data entry, research, clerical work, or administrative support preferred

Strong research skills — ability to find, verify, and organize online information quickly

Excellent typing skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail

Proficiency in research/database tools

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently and collaboratively

Ability to meet deadlines and handle evolving priorities in a fast-paced environment

Professional communication skills, both written and verbal

Professional communication skills, both written and verbal, including comfort with conducting and answering phone calls

Curiosity and critical thinking skills are a plus
