SUMMARY:
The HR Generalist (HRBP) is responsible for delivering both day-to-day HR support and strategic HR business partnership to designated departments. This role combines generalist responsibilities such as employee relations, compliance, performance management, and onboarding with consultative guidance for department leaders in support of workforce planning, talent development, and organizational effectiveness.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Act as the primary HR contact for assigned departments, building relationships with managers to understand business objectives and providing proactive HR support.
Coach and advise leaders on employee relations issues, performance management, conflict resolution, and organizational change.
Maintain working knowledge of all HR operational functions to include Benefits Administration, HRIS, HR Reporting and Analytics, Employee Administration and Support, HR Compliance, Employee Relations, Recruitment Support, Training and Development as needed to meet the needs of the organization.
Manage full employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, personnel actions, benefits administration and personnel records maintenance.
Coordinate and Conduct New Hire Orientation.
May assist in administering the PharPoint Intern Success Program.
Support performance management processes, goal-setting cycles, and professional development planning in coordination with the Training and Talent team.
Provide guidance on company policies, procedures, and best practices to employees and managers.
Assist in employee investigations, documentation, and resolution of issues in compliance with internal procedures and applicable employment laws.
Partner with Recruiting to support hiring efforts, job requisition creation, and organizational design planning.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
Use HRIS systems to maintain accurate employee records and generate reports related to headcount, turnover, and other HR metrics.
Participate in compensation reviews, job classification, and benchmarking efforts in collaboration with the HR Director.
Contribute to HR projects and initiatives that support organizational goals and enhance the overall employee experience.
Collaborate with Training to identify learning needs and support execution of department-level development initiatives.
Maintain a high level of confidentiality and adhere to department/company standards in handling sensitive personnel and operational data.
May provide supervision, coaching, and mentorship to junior HR team members.
Perform all other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelors degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience: Four to six years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a HRBP or advisory capacity. Experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or contract research organization environment is preferred.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed.

Other:
Strong interpersonal and consultative skills with the ability to influence and build trust with stakeholders.
Working knowledge of federal and state labor laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO).
Proficiency in MS Office applications and HRIS platforms (i.e. Paychex Flex, Paylocity, Rippling, etc.).
Excellent inter-personal skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and fluid environment.
