Job Description
We are seeking a Network Technician to join our team! Providing low voltage cabling, network device installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance in large scale commercial facilities. You will help support and maintain company computers, servers, and networks.
Responsibilities:
Analyze, troubleshoot, and evaluate existing wired and wireless network systems
Handle repairs and exchanges of defective devices
Install, terminate, maintain and troubleshoot various network cabling infrastructure (CAT 3/CAT 5/CAT 6 copper, fiber and coaxial), including but not limited to patch panels and cable management systems.
Basic understanding of ANSI, EIA/TIA industry standards (25pr color code, T568A&B color code, etc.)
Collaborate on the improvement of network design and connectivity
Perform routine network maintenance
Hard drive installation and replacement
Maintain and troubleshoot Infrastructure hardware such as PDU’s, computers, switches, routers, optics, wireless access points, and other transport equipment.
RAM installation and replacement
Utilizing remote terminal interfaces
Maintain inventory of network electronics
Qualifications:
Previous experience in IT or other related fields
Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot hardware, layer 1 connectivity issues and perform maintenance on hardware devices.
Fundamental knowledge of networking, hardware, and software
Ability to prioritize and multitask
Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
Deadline and detail-oriented
Education and Experience:
Certification: CompTIA (A+, Network+, Security+) OSHA 10, First Aid/CPR, Ladder & Scaffold Safety, Fire Extinguisher Training
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 1-2 years of experience in Telecom industry or Information Technology discipline.Company Description
