Mechanical Engineer – Wallingford, CT
Shift: First Shift
Pay: $30–$35/hour
Overview:
A growing aerospace manufacturer in Wallingford, CT is seeking a degreed Mechanical Engineer to join its fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This is a hands-on role supporting manufacturing, product and process design, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a passion for learning and a desire to contribute to process efficiency and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day manufacturing and engineering support
Assist in the design and improvement of products and processes
Document workflows and collect/analyze data to support continuous improvement
Contribute to the development of new products
Advance lean manufacturing initiatives, including flow line engineering and 3P (Production Preparation Process)
Learning Opportunities:
Hands-on application of technical skills in software, tooling, and manufacturing processes
Product and process design, including flow lines and quick-change tooling
Exposure to APQP stage gates including PFD, FMEA, Control Plans, and statistical tools (MSA, Gage R&R)
Skills & Experience Preferred:
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Modeling, blueprints, operation sheets, sketches
GD&T knowledge
Laser cutting programming (Laserlink software)
Die design for corrugating, stamping, and roll forming applications
CMM/OGP programming using AutoCAD DXFs and MeasureX/MeasureFit software
Keyence Vision System programming (IM-7020)
General equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
General process development and optimization
Familiarity with 3D CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks, etc.) is a plus
Experience with 3D printing is also a plus

Pay Details: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour
