Commercial Printer located in Tupelo, MS is seeking a Prepress Operator / Graphic Designer.

Are you eager to learn the ins and outs of commercial printing? Join our team and grow with us! Experience in preparing artwork for commercial printing, signage, or web graphics is a plus, but not required. We are ready to teach commercial printing to the right candidate.

Job Requirements

Proficiency with Creative Suite software programs such as InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat.

Problem-solving skills to effectively handle problematic files.

Organizational skills to manage multiple projects efficiently.

Team player with the ability to work independently when needed.

Job Description

Prepare files for offset and variable digital printing.

Graphic Design tasks as needed, ranging from letterheads and envelopes to multi-page magazines and catalogs.

Preflight and troubleshoot files to identify potential issues and ensure projects match job ticket specifications.

Imposition and layout for saddle stitching, perfect bound books, and various folding configurations.

Create paginated proofs and PDF proofs for customer approval.

Output plates for offset press.

Collaborate closely with sales and sales support for effective job communication.
